Kung Pao Chick'n - VegeUSA®

Another one of our "Straight Outta The Box" favorites, Kung Pao Chick'n by VegeUSA® is a delicious meal that you can make in less than 30 minutes. Great way to get a vegan dinner on the table when you're in a hurry!

Preparation and Assembly Time: 8 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 - 15 minutes
Yield: 4 servings

INGREDIENTS

2 packages of VegeUSA® Vegetarian Plus Vegan Kung Pao Chicken (about 10.5 oz each package)
½ sweet onion, chopped
1 carrot, sliced
2 cups broccoli, chopped
½ cup mushrooms, sliced
½ cup pineapple, chopped
Oil for sautéing
2 cups cooked rice (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat the oil in a skillet and sauté the onion until it becomes somewhat soft (medium high heat). Add the carrots, broccoli and mushrooms and continue to cook for about 2 – 3 minutes.
     
  2. Add both packages of the Kung Pao Chick'n to the vegetables and stir.
     
  3. Place a lid over the skillet and lower the heat to a very low simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
     
  4. Remove the lid and add the pineapple. The Kung Pao Chick’n is now ready to serve over rice of your choice.

Makes 4 servings.
